    Species Description - Slender, pale-green to brownish plants. Secondary stems up to 27 cm long. Stem leaves imbricate to spreading, 0.5-1.4 x 0.2-0.5 mm, oblong to panduriform; margins entire to serrulate; apical cells rhomboidal to linear, 5-10 x 0.8-2.5 µm; median cells linear, 8-18 x 0.8-2.5 µm; basal cells subquadrate to oblong, smooth-walled, 4-18 x 1.5-2.5 µm; alar cells not conspicuously differentiated. Branches up to 3 cm long. Branch leaves imbricate to spreading, 0.6-0.8 x 0.2-0.3 mm; apical cells 6-11 x 1-2.5 µm; median cells 7-18 x 1.5-2.5 µm; basal cells 4-13 x 1-2.5 µm. Setae 4 mm long; capsules oblong.

    The plants are very attractive. Though quite elongate, they are slender and generally shiny green. The alar cells are not much differentiated.

    Pendent from branches of trees at low to moderate altitudes; Chiapas, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, Veracruz.— Mexico; Central America.
