Species Description - Rhizomes 3-5 mm diam., brown, covered with articulate hairs. Fronds widely spaced, the axis a succession of unequal ramifications, stipulate at forks; pinnae sessile, variable, 10- 25 X 1.5-6 cm, glaucous, glabrous, or pubescent; veins 3-5- forked. Sori numerous. Rare in our area, pioneer in disturbed areas, especially along roads.
